charity: water (A Heart-Kneader of a Story)

My heart has been massaged back to pliability this morning through a visit to charity: water. This humanitarian organization provides clean drinking water to people who do not have access to it otherwise. They drill wells, provide rainwater catch-systems, filtrations systems, and more.

The story of charity: mission is moving—be sure to read it through. And from a communication’s standpoint—I give lots of love! The simplicity of the site design and the casual black-and-white photos are both calming and intriguing. Check it out!

The provision of clean water has been on my heart for several years now—ever since I happened upon a news report one day while flipping channels. One by one, cases of preventable illness were shown; my heart was crushed by the weight of it and the awakening that I have always had access to clean water. I am blessed even with that one provision.

Reading about an organization such as this reminds me.

“And whoever gives to one of these little ones [in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you, he shall not lose his reward.” —Jesus Christ (Matt. 10:42, AB)
