July was Mega Memory Month over at Ann Kroeker’s place. She rallied the troops for a third round of mental stretching and training, and I was quick to jump on board. I even sent out my own rally cry, encouraging others to join me.

My plan was to memorize Colossians chapter 1, Shel Silverstein’s “Forgotten Language” poem, and review French vocabulary each week.

I got a slow start, picked up some speed, but then the wheels completely fell off! I have a bevy of reasons (excuses?) that I won’t bore you with, but suffice it to say, my MMM3 was lackluster at best.

The poem stuck quickly, as did the first five verses of Colossians. The French review was minimal. I’ll keep working on Colossians, as this chapter is quite special to me and I want it etched on my heart. And the French review I will set aside until my sister and I work on it together.

To conclude this round of MMM, I used wordle.net to create graphic depictions of these words that I have just begun to socialize with. Pretty, aren’t they?

I’m sure Ann will host another round of MMM. I hope my wagon is ready to roll the next time!
