Reading Madness Update: Hour 9

By April 18, 2009 culture No Comments

Well, folks, we are now entering Hour 9 of the read-a-thon!

My progress has been slower than expected, but thoroughly enjoyable. I have many thoughts of what I could have done for the read-a-thon if I had planned a bit better . . . but experience is such a good teacher. I’ll have to save these ideas for the next time’s madness.

This afternoon I soaked up John Piper’s The Legacy of Sovereign Joy: God’s Triumphant Grace in the Lives of Augustine, Luther, and Calvin. I loved every word, all 148 pages! I have made many notes of passages that struck me . . . I hope to post on these rich concepts in the weeks ahead.

I now pause for a break, but hope to read a bit more before my evening plans take me away until 10:00 P.M. when I host my mini-challenge—be sure to come on back! I’ll be here.

Hope all is well with your own reading venture!
