Worship is filling Torrey-Gray Auditorium, filling my soul, reminding me of what is true, what can’t be shaken. What a lovely start to the Chicago stop of the Revive Tour! One song we sang has a line that always pierces me (one of my favorite songs of the moment):
“Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes!”
Especially after yesterday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon, singing this with an auditorium-full of women (and a few men too!) is a treasure. No matter what happens in the next day, the next moment, the next second, Jesus is the One who does not change, who is worthy of my trust and praise. Amen!
More to come from Revive Chicago!
